Singapore’s Events Boom, in Numbers

Singapore’s business events industry is having a moment. Business-event visitors spent S$2.3 billion in 2025, 35% more than the year before, and more than a million of them flew in for meetings, conferences and trade shows in 2024. Nineteen events in the past year drew about 10,000 people or more. These are the numbers behind the boom, and what they mean if you’re bringing a team to a Singapore show.

Last checked: 23 October 2026. Every figure comes from the organisation that published it, and you’ll find them all, with sources, on our Singapore events and MICE statistics page.

  • MICE visitors spent S$2.3 billion in Singapore in 2025, up 35% on 2024.
  • Singapore had 1.1 million MICE visitor arrivals in 2024, about 50% more than before COVID.
  • It has been Asia Pacific’s top meetings city in the ICCA rankings for 23 years running.
  • Three events drew 65,000 people or more in the past year: Singapore FinTech Festival, FHA and the Singapore Airshow.
  • The Singapore Tourism Board wants MICE receipts to reach S$4.5 billion by 2040.

The money: S$2.3 billion and climbing

MICE tourism receipts, the money business-event visitors spend in Singapore, reached S$2.3 billion in 2025. That’s up 35% from S$1.7 billion in 2024, and about 7% of the record S$32.8 billion that all visitors spent, which itself rose 10% on the year.

The Singapore Tourism Board wants more. Its target is S$4.5 billion in MICE receipts by 2040, as part of its goal to triple what the sector brings in.

The visitors: more than a million a year

Singapore had 1.1 million MICE visitor arrivals in 2024, up from 830,000 in 2023 and 730,000 in 2019. That’s roughly 50% above pre-COVID levels. The latest official figure, for the first half of 2025, was about 560,000.

They’re part of a bigger flow. Singapore welcomed 16.9 million international visitors in 2025, led by China (3.1 million), Indonesia (2.4 million), Malaysia and Australia (1.3 million each) and India (1.2 million). Changi Airport handled nearly 70 million passenger movements, an all-time high.

The rankings: top of Asia Pacific for 23 years

Singapore has been Asia Pacific’s top meeting city in the ICCA rankings for 23 years running, and hosted 156 meetings in 2025. Cvent also named it the top meeting destination in Asia Pacific for 2026.

The shows: 19 events with 10,000+ people

In the past year, 19 business events in Singapore reported about 10,000 attendees or more. The ten biggest:

Singapore International Energy Week Oct 2025 23,000+ Marina Bay Sands
As reported by each organiser or the Singapore Tourism Board. Marina Bay Sands means the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The full list of 19, with sources, is on our statistics page.

A few patterns stand out:

  • Tech leads. Eight of the 19 were about fintech, tech, AI or crypto: SFF, Tech Week, SWITCH, TOKEN2049, Asia Tech x Singapore, Singapore International Cyber Week, SuperAI and the AAAI conference on artificial intelligence.
  • Marina Bay Sands hosts the most, Singapore EXPO the biggest. Eleven of the 19 were at Marina Bay Sands, but the two largest, SFF and FHA, were at Singapore EXPO.
  • October is the busiest month. Six of the 19 took place in October, including TOKEN2049, SWITCH and ITB Asia, with SFF following in November.

The venues: 200,000 sqm of exhibition space

Singapore has roughly 200,000 sqm of exhibition space, most of it in two venues:

  • Singapore EXPO: about 123,000 sqm of indoor and outdoor space near Changi Airport, including ten column-free halls of up to 10,000 sqm each.
  • Sands Expo and Convention Centre: about 120,000 sqm of event space at Marina Bay Sands, with 250 meeting rooms and Southeast Asia’s largest ballroom, which holds 11,000 guests.

Hotels are busy too. They averaged 82% occupancy in 2025 at about S$274 a night, across 285 hotels with roughly 65,000 rooms.

What this means if you’re exhibiting

  • Book hotels early. With occupancy at 82%, rooms near the big shows go fast, especially in April and October.
  • Brief your swag six to eight weeks out. Suppliers get busy around the big show weeks. Standard items need about three weeks, and the order-by date checker on our homepage works out your date.
  • Bring swag people keep. 82% of people keep event giveaways for at least a month, and a quarter rate notebooks and planners as the most valuable. 76% say a giveaway’s quality shapes how they see the brand behind it.
  • Know the venue rules. Venues only take deliveries during move-in, and nobody signs for you. Our guide to Singapore exhibition venues covers each one.
