HiBob’s field marketing team is based in Australia. In late March 2026 they had a booth booked at HR Tech Asia in Singapore, about five weeks away, and wanted custom socks and tote bags to hand out. Custom socks are made overseas, so the real question was whether they could be made, flown in and delivered to the hall in time.
| Client | HiBob, field marketing team in Australia |
|---|---|
| Event | HR Tech Asia, Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, 5 to 6 May 2026 |
| What we made | 200 custom crew socks with a woven logo and sock tag, and 200 A3 canvas tote bags |
| Timeline | Just over five weeks from first email to delivery |
| Delivered to | Their booth, in a 30-minute slot the day before the show |
The brief
HiBob already had a sock design in mind and wanted their logo on canvas totes. The totes were the easy part. The socks weren’t: with a custom design, they take 18 to 22 days to make and another 6 to 8 days to fly in. Suntec also only takes exhibitor deliveries a day or two before the show, so arriving early wasn’t an option either.
What we did
- Locked in the socks in time. To get them in by 1 to 2 May, the order had to be confirmed by the end of the day we sent the mock-up. HiBob approved it within minutes, and production started the next day.
- Planned around the bump-in slot. HiBob’s delivery window came through as 3pm to 3.30pm on 4 May, to their booth in Halls 403 to 406. We planned the run around it, with a backup entrance agreed in case the loading bay turned us away.
How it went
We delivered everything to the booth on 4 May, ready for the show. Then in September, HiBob came back. They’d booked a booth at Future of Work APAC at Marina Bay Sands in November and wanted socks and A3 totes again, this time with eleven weeks to spare.
Custom items like socks need five to six weeks, so start with event swag, step by step to work out your dates.
